Chilcote has been visiting Russia ever since landing in a Soviet high school as part of a US-USSR high school exchange program.  He is a fluent Russian speaker and an avid observer of Russian politics and business.  Chilcote is also a prolific long form storyteller and has produced and hosted numerous half hour programs,  including Bloomberg TV's award-winning 12-part show "Ryan's Russia".

Chilcote's insatiable curiosity and relentless roving reporting has taken him throughout Europe, Africa, South Asia and the Middle East. He has covered the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and as well as reporting from Turkey, Iran, Israel, Kuwait, Bahrain, Pakistan, Egypt and the UAE.  In 2007, Chilcote moved to London to join Bloomberg Television. After graduating from the University of California in 1995, Chilcote was based in Moscow - traveling aggressively throughout Russia and the former Soviet Union - for CNN.

With two decades of journalism under his belt at Bloomberg Television and CNN, Ryan Chilcote's been an eyewitness to many of the biggest stories of our time.

Thanks to his unique background spanning general and financial news, Chilcote is as at home interviewing world leaders and politicians at the World Economic Forum in Davos as he is reporting from the world's front lines.

Chilcote has received several awards for his work.  Among them: an Emmy nomination for Best Story in a Regularly Scheduled Newscast from the National Academy for Television Arts & Sciences, a New York Film Festival World Medal, a Clarion Award, and a nomination at the Prix Bayeux Competition for War Correspondents.
